Garbage services:

Monticello and Jasper County are served by Advanced Disposal Services.  If you have questions regarding this service, please call City Hall at 706-468-6062.

Advanced Disposal is located at 120 Rodeo Drive in Jackson and may be contacted at 770-775-1001, a local call. Watch the Monticello News for holiday changes in pickup.

Pickup for Goods

To arrange pickup of white goods (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.) or tires, come by or call City Hall at 468-6062. The pick up fee will be added to your utility bill as a miscellaneous charge.WHITE GOODS $5.00 Information needed when you stop by or phone City Hall:

Recycling:

Single stream recycling is available at Funderburg Drive just South of South Street.  We accept glass, plastic, metal, cardboard, and paper.

Newspaper Recycling:

Newspaper recycling bins are located at the following locations for your convenience:

  • Jackson Lake Volunteer Fire Department – Jackson Lake Road
  • Ingles Grocery Store (parking lot) – Highway 16 West

(The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce receives the recycling funds and returns them to the community through events and services provided)

Aluminum Cans:

A recycling bin is located at the Monticello Fire Department located on highway 212 West.  The funds received are used to assist with a camp for the burn children in our state.

A recycling bin for cans is also located at Ingles Grocery on Hwy 16 West.
